Originating from India, the ancient science of Yoga is a comprehensive holistic system offering practical methods for controlling body and mind.
If practised intuitively and sensitively, yoga can deliver outstanding results for physical health and well-being – and it also helps to relieve stress, improve concentration and calm the mind.
Ultimately, it removes limitations and provides clarity to enhance your quality of life.
The physical practice of Yoga is strengthening, opening, challenging and relaxing, all at the same time. It improves flexibility, balance and strength in the body. It also helps improve immune functioning and digestion.
In combination with Pranayama and meditation, Yoga makes a substantial positive impact on your mental and emotional state. It helps to relieve stress and improves mental focus and clarity of thought. It is also emotionally uplifting and life affirming.
The physical, breathing and meditation practices are weaved together seamlessly in all yoga classes at Gosforth Physio and Wellness, to ensure an experience that enhances your overall well-being.
Using gentle, simple poses, breathing techniques and sequences of movement, Conrad teaches you how to build core muscular strength, increase flexibility and joint range of motion, while at the same time, enhancing your mind-body connection.
Forrest Yoga is an excellent style of Yoga for those with injuries or other limitations. The level of intensity can be adjusted to suit many different fitness levels making it excellent for all, regardless of physical ability or experience.
Regular practice helps reduce stress allowing you to become more in control of your thoughts and feelings. This leads to a much happier life with less stress and disease and greater emotional well-being.
Forrest Yoga uses long holds that challenge muscles and build heat. This, combined with deep breathing and active movements, helps sweat out toxins and waste, helping you to feel stronger, fitter, more flexible and healthier.
Forrest Yoga, taught with Conrad’s knowledge of anatomy and physiology, is the perfect combination to help you achieve your goals.
