BSc Hons Health Studies; BSc Hons Physiotherapy
After undertaking a degree in Health Studies at Sunderland University in 1999, Kimberley went on to complete her 2nd BSc Hons. Degree in Physiotherapy at Teesside, qualifying in 2003.
Since then she has worked in numerous Physiotherapy specialisms from Musculoskeletal Outpatients and Orthopaedic conditions, Palliative Care, Paediatrics, General Medical and Community.
She has worked with a number of NHS health trusts across the UK and has also worked in private practice and charity organisations. Combining work with her love of travel, she also worked in New Zealand on two occasions – including time spent with a Physio Pilates clinic.
Kimberley practises what she preaches – and has always had a love for all things sporty, active and holistic. Early in her career she undertook the Foundation to Acupuncture course. She is no stranger to injuries having re-habbed herself through many a running or skiing injury.
Developing her love for Pilates and Yoga she completed the APPI’s Pilates Matwork Teaching qualification in 2015-16.
As her love for holistic therapeutics evolved, she completed Level 1 and 2 Thai Yoga Massage. Kimberley also travelled to Thailand to study Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow Yoga, completing her 200-hour Yoga teacher Training in 2015.
Kimberley also currently works in the NHS as a Specialist Physiotherapist for the Young Persons Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) Service.
Away from work, Kimberley has a keen interest in nature and the great outdoors, loves spending time with family and friends – and is trying to learn French (she is now on her 3rd ‘Beginners French course’).
