Louise works with adults and older teenagers who are stressed, anxious, feeling overwhelmed or struggling with low self-esteem.
She is an experienced counsellor and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) practitioner.
EFT has been described as acupuncture for the emotions where, instead of needles, you tap with your fingers. It can be particularly helpful for people who find it hard to talk things through and it is an effective way to get to the root of many difficulties.
A lot of Louise’s work involves getting alongside people who are stressed at work or struggling to maintain good mental health in the workplace.
Louise places great emphasis on the importance of creating a safe and warm environment, providing the emotional support to help her clients understand and overcome their difficulties. With that understanding in place, she then works with her clients to put in place strategies that will help in the future.
Louise does not believe in a ‘one-size fits all approach’ to talking therapies – so she tailors every therapy session to the precise needs of the individual.
Away from work, Louise enjoys making patchwork quilts – and she is a member of the Cloud Appreciation Society.
