What’s the difference between a podiatrist and a chiropodist

There’s no difference between a podiatrist and chiropodist, but podiatry is a more modern name. Infact the term ‘Podiatrist’ is a term used for chiropodists in other English speaking countries outside of the U.K.

What is podiatry

Podiatry is a specialist area of healthcare which involves the care and maintenance of foot and lower limb conditions.

What are orthotics and how do they work

Orthoses are specially made, customised devices worn inside your shoe to control and realign postural deformities and promote comfort and function of the affected area.

What is the role of a podiatrist

The podiatrist role is to identify, diagnose and treat disorders, diseases and deformities of the feet and legs and implement appropriate and timely care.

Better by 5

Over 90% of our patients get ‘Better by 5’ sessions.

If you need any of our physiotherapy, sports injury, sports massage or acupuncture services, you should see and feel a real difference by the end of your fifth session.

If, on the other hand, there is no improvement in your clinical condition or in the way you feel – we STOP after the fifth session. At that point, we reassess the reasons why there has been no apparent improvement and, if necessary, we can organise scans and letters to GP's and Consultants. You can be sure that we will never continue treating you unless there is a positive benefit – and only when you (and we) agree on your treatment plan.
