35% of people over the age of 40 and 85% of people over the age of 65 have experienced problems with dizziness or vertigo. It has a profound effect on our ability to cope with day to day tasks, even things as simple as showering can become dangerous.

We keep our balance by feeling the ground beneath our feet, eyes to see the world around us, and the Vestibular System mostly housed in our inner ears. If there are problems with any one of these things we can start to experience vertigo or dizziness.

However, almost all causes of vertigo and dizziness can be effectively treated!

We will work together to create a better harmony between your inner ear, eyes, and the feeling of the ground beneath your feet, stabilising you and freeing you to return to living your life to the fullest.

How Many Sessions Will it Take?

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), is the most common cause of dizziness, and can be resolved in just one or two sessions. Other forms of vertigo can require more treatment but we see most patients for an average of just three visits.

How Should I Prepare for a Session?

Bring a list of your medications which we will review to ensure none have a side effect of dizziness. We might recommend any that do are discussed with your GP.

Some tests, due to the nature of your dizziness, can upset your stomach. Therefore, we recommend you only eat a light meal in advance.

Wear comfortable, modest, clothing, as we will ask you to move around and take your blood pressure.

45 Minutes With Our Qualified Specialist

After reviewing your medication, we will assess how your eyes, ears, and brain work together through a series of eye and neck movements. We might take your blood pressure both lying down and standing, as well as show you videos and moving images and ask you to move around.

To finish, we will discuss our findings and produce a personalised treatment plan.
