Every Pilates class at Gosforth Physio is led by one of our Senior Physiotherapists. Find out more about the benefits of this expertise in our latest blog post.
Pilates is widely recommended for improving core strength, posture, and flexibility, and for good reason. But with so many classes available, from gym-based sessions to online videos, it can be hard to know what you're actually signing up for. The method matters, but so does the person delivering it. At Gosforth Physio & Wellness, every Pilates class is led by a qualified Senior Physiotherapist, and that changes the experience considerably.
Expertise Behind Every Session
A physiotherapist has in-depth clinical training in anatomy, biomechanics, and injury management. When that knowledge is applied in a Pilates class, it means every exercise is taught with a clear understanding of how the body moves, where it compensates, and how to correct it. If something isn't working for your body, your instructor won't just offer a general modification. They will understand why the movement is difficult and adjust accordingly.
This level of clinical expertise is particularly valuable if you have a history of injury, ongoing pain, postural problems, or a condition that requires careful management. In a standard fitness class, these factors are often overlooked; in our physio-led classes, they are central to how the session is designed and delivered.
Small Classes, Individual Attention
Our Newcastle Pilates classes are kept deliberately small, so every participant receives genuine feedback and hands-on guidance throughout. Over time, this helps you develop better body awareness, more accurate movement patterns, and lasting improvements in strength and control.
With 19 weekly classes scheduled across mornings and evenings, Monday to Saturday, finding a session to fit your routine is straightforward. Private one-to-one and small group sessions are also available for those who want a programme built entirely around their own goals.
Trusted by Hundreds of People Every Week
With more than 12,000 classes taught and over 220 members attending each week, our Pilates programme has a long track record of delivering results across a wide range of needs, from post-injury rehabilitation and chronic pain management to performance improvement and general wellbeing.
